What is Big Daddy Update ?
With Big Daddy, Google has made a fundamental change to the way they index websites, which means that we website owners need to make a fundamental change in the way we promote our sites. Because of the change, many sites won't have all of their pages indexed, even though they will most likely be crawled (Matt Cutts said that they are crawling more pages than they will index).
After Update the change appears to concern links - both into and out of the site. It appears that Google is now evaluating a site's IBLs and OBLs, and using the evaluation to determine how many of the site's pages to put in the index. Such links as off-topic ones, reciprocals (perhaps only off-topic ones), etc., don't count, but on-topic one-way links do. Matt also mentioned affiliate OBLs in a negative light. So certain types of links don't help to get a site's pages indexed, although it's unlikely that they count against it.
Google may also have decided not to index everything just because it's there, and to be more selective, so that they don't need to continually increase capacity.
They are bound to improve the new system over time, and some pages may return, but we can't expect the dumped pages to return, so it's something that we have to live with. We have to promote sites with the new system as it is, whether or not it will change in the future.
Google is still links-based, and promoting a site in the serps means links. But it looks like the days when a link is a link are over. It may be that there is no change to the way that links are treated for rankings, because keeping pages out of the index automatically prevents them from ranking, so getting pages into the index must be the first consideration.
A site must now build up a big enough links score to get all of its pages indexed. I don't think that certain types of links must be avoided at all costs, because I don't think that they count against a site, but it seems that link exchanges, and off-topic IBLs and OBLs, won't help a site. What's need are good one-way, on-topic, IBLs to build up the score, so that the site can have more pages in the index.
Submitting to directories is the obvious way of getting one-way on-topic IBLs - especially to good directories rather than to the myriad of useless ones that appear daily. There are other ways, such as writing articles and blogs that people might link to, but everyone can't do that. If everyone did it, the vast majority wouldn't get any links from them.
So we need to change the focus of link-building. Any old links aren't good enough any more. We need to focus on one-way on-topic IBLs.
This article is an idea what i had read from other Seo article and what i know.
